What This Service Actually Involves

A gas fireplace that won't light in January isn't a mystery to us — it's usually a thermocouple, a dirty pilot, or a fan that's earned retirement. We service gas, wood, and pellet units: annual tune-ups and repairs when something quits.

You don't have to have bought it here. We're the hearth side of a family company that's answered service calls since 1913: answer the phone, show up, fix it right, leave the house cleaner than we found it. If repair money would be better spent on replacement, we'll show you that math honestly.

  • Gas fireplace repair and annual tune-ups — pilots, valves, fans
  • Wood stove service — gaskets, catalysts, dampers, glass
  • Pellet stove service — augers, igniters, control boards
  • Units we sold and units we didn't — with honest repair-vs-replace math

Questions We Hear About Fireplace & Stove Service

My gas fireplace won't stay lit — what's wrong?

Nine times out of ten it's the pilot assembly or thermocouple, and it's a routine fix. Book a service visit and describe what it's doing; our tech arrives with the common parts on the truck.

Do you service fireplaces you didn't sell?

Yes. Most of our service calls start on units that came from somewhere else — and more than a few of those homeowners become insert customers a few winters later.

How often should a gas fireplace be serviced?

Annually, ideally before the season. A tune-up keeps the flame pattern right, the glass clear, and the small parts from becoming January emergencies.

What does a service call cost?

We quote the visit up front when you book, and the diagnosis comes with a firm price for the fix before any work happens. No mystery invoices.
